CLARKS MILL, Pa. (AP) -- State police have arrested three people in western Pennsylvania who were allegedly involved in a series of church burglaries. Authorities were called to the Clarks Mills United Methodist Church, about 70 miles north of Pittsburgh, at about 1 a.m. Wednesday.. They eventually arrested 27-year-old Trevor Bromley and 25-year-old Kayla Davis, both of Greenville, and 20-year-old Daniel Griggs of Hartstown. They're facing burglary, theft and mischief charges. TV station KDKA reports that police were first called to the church by someone who spotted the glare of flashlights inside around 1 a.m. Police said Bromley and Griggs tried to escape by jumping through a window. Griggs was arrested after a foot pursuit with police, and while Bromley managed to get away initially, he was taken into custody later that same day. Officers found Davis waiting inside the suspects' vehicle in a nearby parking lot. Police said the church had a large amount of damage. They also expect to file additional charges against the trio in connection with three other church burglaries. Bromley, Davis and Griggs are being held in the Mercer County Jail, unable to post $50,000 bond. No attorneys were listed on court papers. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 7.
