LAS VEGAS (AP) — A Las Vegas bar is apologizing for a sign that made a joke about domestic violence.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports (http://bit.ly/1TXc0PS) that Beauty Bar Las Vegas issued an apology on its Facebook page on Friday, saying the sign was created by an employee without the owners' knowledge.
A chalkboard sign displayed outside the bar earlier this week stated "I like my beer like I like my violence: domestic."
The bar says the sign was removed once management became aware of it a few hours later.
But someone posted a picture of the sign on social media, drawing outrage.
The employee who made the sign has been suspended pending further investigation.
The bar says it has been a longtime supporter of anti-domestic violence charities.
