BRUNSWICK, Ga. (AP) — Police in coastal Georgia say a man who fled officers was taken into custody after scaling a fence and landing on the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center's campus.
Glynn County Police Chief Matt Doering says 22-year-old Taylor Brooks was wanted in several burglaries in central Georgia and was seen Thursday morning in a vehicle that had been reported stolen.
Doering says Brooks abandoned the car and fled on foot, scaled the 12-foot high barbed wire fence and landed on the training center's campus. Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers provide law enforcement training for more than 90 agencies.
Doering says Brooks was arrested without incident by a security officer and is in the Glynn County jail.
It's unclear if Brooks has an attorney.
