FEASTERVILLE, Pa. (AP) -- One good turn deserves another, but it didn't quite work out like that for a pair of good Samaritans in suburban Philadelphia.
Police said a woman was opening her trunk in the parking lot of a Feasterville bowling alley to retrieve her ball and hide her purse Monday afternoon when she was accosted by another woman, who grabbed the purse and ran off.
A man who saw it happen jumped out of his car, caught up with the female suspect, knocked her to the ground and retrieved the stolen handbag, police said. The woman cursed the man and took off running again.
A couple in another car saw the good Samaritan tackle the suspect and thought they were witnessing a domestic dispute. The driver offered the suspect a ride and she accepted, providing her a convenient getaway, police said.
The suspect was dropped off about a quarter-mile away. She was last seen walking back toward the scene, the Bucks County Courier Times reported Wednesday.
