COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (AP) — Two officers in a suburban Denver police department that's under federal investigation are no longer allowed to train recruits after taking them to play "Pokemon Go" instead of teaching them.

The Denver Post reports (http://dpo.st/2bvWrij ) that a pair of Commerce City officers were removed from field training duties last week after their superiors found they were playing the popular game that involves searching for virtual creatures in real-world locations.

City spokeswoman Julia Emko says it takes misconduct reports seriously and addressed the problem as soon it was discovered.

It comes a week after the U.S. Justice Department said it would review the police force at the chief's request following a series of misconduct cases. One officer staged his own shooting, and another was accused of touching three women during traffic stops.
