MAHONING TWP. – It appears smoke from worker welding on the outside of Geisinger Medical Center's Foss Clinic building entered the sixth floor Tuesday and set off a fire alarm, fire officials said.

Firefighters from three counties converged on the hospital about noon, but no fire was found, said Mahoning Township Fire Chief Leslie Young, who is also a Geisinger employee.
