Police seeking man who allegedly tried to snatch child

BLOOMSBURG — Bloomsburg Police are asking for the public’s help finding a man they say grabbed a 7-year-old girl inside a women’s rest room at Town Park Tuesday.

The incident took place just after 3 p.m. in the band shell bathroom.

According to police, a man grabbed the child and then released his hold before running away south through the park toward Fort McClure Boulevard.

The man is described as a white, 5- to 6- feet tall, and slim with dark brown or black hair.

He was wearing a green T-shirt and blue shorts or pants, and entered a dark gray sedan, police said.
