A number of area schools have announced delays this morning. Here they are:

• Benton Area - two-hour delay

• Luzerne County Community College - compressed schedule

• North Schuylkill - two-hour delay

• Northwest Area - two-hour delay

• Southern Columbia - two-hour delay

• Warrior Run - two-hour delay

In the town of Bloomsburg,  a number of downtown parking lots will be shut down this morning to clear away yesterday's snow.

Starting at 4 a.m., crews began clearing: Zone C (Diner lot); Zone E (Pine Avenue lot); Zone F (Employee lot); Zone G (Library lot); and Zone I (Post Office lot).

They marked off the areas to be plowed yesterday with signs and meter bags.

Those with permits to those lots are allowed to park wither in unbagged sections of the lots or on Main Street without feeding the meters until 11 a.m. today.
