Snow triggers parking ban in Briar Creek Township

BRIAR CREEK TWP. -- Briar Creek Township is enforcing its snow-parking ban for the avenues from midnight Saturday morning until 8 that night. The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning hazardous weather outlook for Columbia and Montour counties, along with Northumberland, Huntingdon, Mifflin, Juniata, Bedford, Fulton, Franklin, Union, Snyder, Perry, Dauphin, Schuylkill, Lebanon and Cumberland counties. Forecasters were predicting 5 to 8 inches of snow, possibly mixing with light rain and slippery conditions Friday night into Saturday morning.
