(Press Enterprise/M.J. Mahon) A bullet hole is shown on the driver door of Kahn’s car, as well as a second on the rear door Friday evening after someone shot into an occupied parked car.

BLOOMSBURG — Police are looking for whoever shot two bullets into an occupied car on Center Street on Friday, they say.

Matthias Kahn of Cub Circle, Bloomsburg, was parked in a black Mazda in a curbside spot on the street around 7 p.m. when someone shot twice into his car, officers said. The bullets hit the rear driver's side door — shattering a window — and the rear of the front driver's door, slightly behind where the man was sitting.

Police said another car was involved in the shooting, and that Kahn was very lucky to have avoided being shot.

Police shut down Center Street from Main Street to Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble after the gunfire to investigate. It reopened around 8 p.m.

BTE had a performance of "The Wizard of Oz" on Friday night and remained open while police investigated. Employees were ushering theatergoers in by a back way.

We'll have more on this incident as information is available.
